Merry Christmas!
It's been a while since we posted on the blog. A long while. Don't worry, this blog will be springing back to life very soon.
This blog has been through tremendous portion of our lives. We began the blog in late summer 2007 when we were newlyweds who moved to NYC for me to finish my legal education. The initial thought was that we would only be in NYC for nine-months, and we wanted to keep a journal of our experiences. Then, we decided to stay - making Manhattan our permanent residence was never considered an option before spring 2008. The blog then reflected our transition from "tourists with an extended stay" to young professionals beginning our careers in Manhattan. In 2009, the blog was hijacked by the arrival of our first child. Now, in late 2011 or early 2012, we will welcome our second child into the world. Though it was not our intent when we started the blog, this website has chronicled some of the most important events in our lives.
I'm sure that we'll be posting daily pictures - if not multiple pictures every day - once the baby comes. Hopefully, we will be posting some new pictures of Katie during the Christmas season before the baby comes.
Here are a few pictures of Katie hamming it up that I took this evening. These photos will, hopefully, mark the commencement of frequent pictures coming to the blog again. Yes, Katie is growing up.

Coming 2012
A recent conversation with Katie.
Daddy: "Katie you are going to be a big sister."
Katie: "Sista?"
Daddy: "Yes. There is a baby in Mommy's tummy."
Katie: "Uh-Oh."
Estimated arrival January 23, 2012. Daddy is sad we aren't going to make the 2011 tax cutoff.

Happy Second Birthday, Katie!
Today is Katie's 2nd birthday. I can't believe that it was two years ago that Katie came out to join us. Time certainly flies when you are having fun. This week, it will be four years that Wife and I have lived in NYC.
Everything about our lives has changed over these past two years - and the time has raced by more quickly than we ever anticipated.
Above is a picture of the cake that Wife baked for Katie's birthday. Katie's such a big girl - she blew out the candles all by herself (but it did take her a few tries).

Mouse! Mouse!
While crossing the street Katie and I passed an incredibly small dog. Katie proceeded to point and yell "Mouse! Mouse! Mouse." The dog's owner was not amused, but the cop directing traffic thought she was hysterical and Katie was very proud of herself.
