Katie's First Broadway Show

A few weeks ago we received a wonderful email from Katie's 1st grade teacher. The two first grade classes at Katie's school were given free theater tickets for On the Town. Katie and I were both thrilled because not only did she get to go, but so did I! I was so thankful for the tickets but also that I was able to go with her so I could see her reaction to her first Broadway show. It is safe to say that she loved it. What made this show even better was that we were blessed with being able to see Misty Copeland perform as Ivy. Those of you that are not familiar with Misty Copeland, she is a phenomenal ballerina. In fact, she has just made history. This summer she was promoted to principal dancer at the American Ballet Theater. She is the first African American woman to even do so in the 75 years that ABT has been around. It was a great day! School starts in a week. I don't know where summer went

Don't you love the sailor hat? Katie's teacher bought all the kids one to wear for the big day. We are so blessed to have a teacher that not only is just great but also takes time out of her summer vacation to arrange a pre-school field trip.

She is 6!

Working with Daddy

Forget vacation, Katie's having the time of her life with Daddy at the office while he works on a deal that needs to sign over the weekend. She got hot chocolate this morning and some Mexican food for lunch, with a break in between to visit the Central Park Zoo. Happy girl!!!
