The girls are enjoying a week of camp up near Central Park. It's a day camp with lots of fun activities. Frankly, it sounds much, much more fun than work. Yesterday, Superman and Cinderella both came to meet the campers.
The camp director got up on stage and announced to the kids that Superman and Cinderella arrived to visit with the campers. She told the kids a bit about Superman and Cinderella, and explained that the two of them are actually best friends (who knew???).
After the camp director announced the arrival of the guests to the children, five year old Elizabeth went up to the camp directors to discuss these guests.
Elizabeth: "You know those people are not really Superman and Cinderella, don't you? When you got up and introduced them, it didn't sound like you knew that. Those are CHARACTERS. They are people dressed up like the characters."
Camp Director: "Ummm.....let's not say that out loud. Let's not tell the other campers."
Elizabeth: "Didn't you just hear me? I just said it out loud."
