Then Came Lizzie

Three years ago, about this time, I was at the hospital giving birth to Elizabeth.  I was fortunate enough to have the same doctor deliver Elizabeth that delivered Katie.  She remembered that once things finally started going, the baby delivered fast.  Therefore, she came in and said she was going to go grab a quick bite to eat knowing that she didn't have long.  Not too long after that the nurse was frantically screaming for the doctor and Lizzie was almost born with me standing (attempting to get from the rocking chair to the bed) with  the poor nurse doing the delivery.  By the grace of God, our wonderful Doctor made it just in time and she delivered a very sweet and beautiful little girl. 

I still feel amazed and so blessed to be called mom by Elizabeth and Katie.  How did I get so lucky?  These two little girls are so full of love and life.  Happy Birthday, Elizabeth.  We love you so much.
