Stuff Elizabeth Says

Five year old Elizabeth confessed to some wrongdoing and apologized.

Wife responded, "Thank you for apologizing. Now, don't do it again."

Elizabeth looked a bit confused and annoyed, "Ummm...I just apologized. An apology means that I was wrong, and I won't do it again. So, I just told you that I won't do it again."

Stuff Katie Says

Wife and I are discussing whether Katie should wear her glasses in the school pictures.  I bring up the issue that the glasses may cause a glare.

Katie instantly responds, "Oh, that's no big deal.  I'll just tell the photographer to look for any glare, and, if there is any, to Photoshop it out."

This kid wouldn't believe what life was like when I was a kid.

Stuff Elizabeth Says

I was walking down the street with a girl holding each hand, and they started arguing about something.

Katie said that construction workers took some scaffolding down last week.  Elizabeth said it was the week before.

They argued back and forth for a couple of minutes.  Katie started getting very passionate that she was right.

Suddenly, Elizabeth responded, "You're right, Katie!  It was definitely last week!"

Surprised, I asked Elizabeth, "Do you really believe that Katie is right?"

"Of course not, Dad.  I just want her to shut-up.  Oh, I can't say shut-up.  Sorry."

Interracial Marriage

Out of curiosity, Wife and I decided to do one of those DNA tests to ascertain our ancestry.  Last night, we received the results.

To my surprise, I learned that I'm married to an African-American woman.  I suppose I should have guessed this based on her hair.  This new discovery may bolster my bid for mayor of New York City.

I learned that I'm Middle Eastern (West Asia).  This could be traced to Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia Jordan, UAE, Yemin, Turkey or Israel.

Wife's ancestry only came back as 1% African.  But it was a full 1%.

My ancestry is 3% Middle Eastern.

Maybe since the results show that Wife is 99% European while I'm 97% European, our marriage isn't all that ethnically diverse.  It certainly is culturally diverse though.
