Done

Today marked the conclusion of my Law School academic career. Everything is done. All that is left is the graduation. The journey has been wonderful, but more intense than I anticipated. Tax lawyers are a very intense bunch. Shockingly, while we are a minority at Law School, we take up a majority of the study space in the library.

The final push during the last six weeks has been incredible; typically each day has consisted of 17 to 21 hours of intense interpretation of code, deciphering regulations, and trying to memorize every last detail. My brain is now full.

So now, I’m going to spend some time away from the books, without any studying or memorizing. Oh, of course, that all ends once Bar preparation begins. That starts…oh…tomorrow.

Within fifteen minutes of finishing at Law School, I was headed to pick up my sixty pounds of Bar prep books.

Congratulations on being...uh...done. Sort of. Where's my graduation invitation????

I'm not sending out graduation invitations or announcements (actually, I don't think I sent out invitations since high school). I'm operating under the assumption that after a certain number of graduations, nobody actually cares anymore (and my assumption seems to be essentially correct). Actually, there is one person who cares deeply: Wife.

Of course, feel free to send any and all graduation gifts to our mailing address. If you've lost the address, shoot me an email, and I will happily send it to you again ;)

Of course I care about this! It is a huge accomplishment. Husband is graduating from the number one program in the world! I couldn't be prouder of him. Love you, Hubby!

Awww... that's so sweet. I think you should keep her!

I also picked up my 60 pounds of BarBri this weekend. Just the idea that I have to know everything in that box by the end of July makes me get all teary-eyed. Our mutual friend TK was kind enough to provide me with all of his notecards and outlines (and considering he scored second-highest on this last round, that's nothing to sneeze at!). I reviewed some of his stuff last night and came to the sad conclusion that he really IS way smarter than me. :(
