Fun in the Park
This afternoon, Wife and I took Katie to Bryant Park for a late lunch. On our stroll over to the park, we stopped and picked up a couple cheeseburgers and a diet Pepsi. For the past week, our park has been overtaken by "Fashion Week." The beautiful grass has been covered with tents where all the latest designs are being shown off. Near the front entrance, swarms of tourists and photographers press their way to the front, trying to catch a glimpse of the celebrities. Of course, Wife and I completely avoided the front. Instead, we walked around to the other end of the park and sat down by a quiet table - we were right next to the back entrance. All the tourists appear to be completely oblivious to the fact that there is more going on at the back entrance than the front. As we ate our lunch, we were surrounded by models, hair stylists, makeup artists, journalists, etc. After nibbling on our burgers for a few minutes, Wife and I realized that everyone was looking at us. All the six foot two, ninety pound models were staring at our cheeseburgers with such desire, such lust. It made eating a little uncomfortable. Of course, we were able to eat anyway.
